Adult film star Lucy Love is at the apex of her career as a businesswoman, sex icon, and model when Polish police begin to question her possible involvement in a cold case. During her interrogation at the station, Lucy recounts being expelled from a convent after becoming pregnant out of wedlock in 1970s Poland, leading her into an abusive marriage.

After fleeing to West Germany, Lucyna finds a job at a club where she makes connections with fellow compatriot Janek and porn actress Nina Star. While struggling to make it in the volatile adult film industry, Lucyna meets Klaus Baron, the so-called German “King of Porn.”

While “Lucy Love” wins the approval of Klaus Baron and begins to surpass Nina Star in popularity, Lucyna’s parents and ex-husband restrict her contact with her daughter Kasia. Then, when martial law suddenly descends upon Poland, Lucyna faces the threat of deportation.

This six-episode series follows the transformation of a young Polish woman into international porn star "Lucy Love." After her dream of being a nun comes to an abrupt end, Lucyna Liss' (Anna Szymańczyk) life takes a painful turn and results in an abusive marriage. Determined to change her circumstances, Lucyna starts over in West Germany, where she becomes drawn into the adult entertainment industry. But as her reputation and popularity as Lucy Love swells, Lucyna's new life leads to damaging consequences for herself and her loved ones – including the daughter she left behind in Poland. Spanning 1970s Poland to 1990s Germany, X-Rated Queen (Lady Love) is a remarkable portrait of a woman reclaiming her autonomy in a business that brings her fame and power … but also enemies.

Betrayed by her husband and father, Lucyna decides to rebuild her business in Poland and establish a relationship with her now teenaged daughter. Amid unsuccessful attempts to connect with Kasia, Lucyna refuses to enter into a business deal with vindictive and violent club owner Boguś.

After the events in Sopot, Lucy Love enjoys success in Germany again – this time with a troubled Kasia by her side. But as a newly released Baron plots revenge on his ex-wife with Stefan, Lucyna encounters a figure from her past and makes a decision that will change her and Kasia’s lives forever.
