After losing everything in a fire, Cléo takes her daughter Sofia to live with her ambitious aunt Lola, her husband Rubem and their son Gabriel. Meanwhile, Rebeca undergoes an ill-fated round of plastic surgery at the hands of Lola's bosses, the Argentos -- allowing Lola to take advantage.

When Cléo is arrested for a crime she didn't commit, Sofia steps into her mother's subservient role in Lola's household. While Lino and Elvira are devastated to learn Rebeca needs a transplant, Lola threatens Benjamin and Rog with images that would expose their patient's case.

After visiting her mother, Sofia discovers the truth about Lola and runs away from home. Then, as Lola attempts to seduce Benjamin, Lino is arrested for the hospital kidnapping, and Sofia decides to give the police an important piece of evidence about Rebeca.

Viviane's investigation leads her to suspect and threaten Lola, Rog, and Benjamin. Meanwhile, the Paixão family celebrates news of a compatible donor, and Sofia visits her mother in prison and later finds an unexpected visitor at the shelter.

While Rog and Benjamin block Rebeca's transplant, Átila manages to close Viviane's investigation. Then, as Sofia finds new family in Elvira, Lino, and Alec, Lola achieves her dreams of success through her new marriage to Benjamin. But when Nara appears to reveal Lola's role in Cléo's death, Sofia decides to craft a plan of revenge.

Sofia changes her appearance and identity to "Júlia" in order to befriend Carol -- Átila's granddaughter and Gabriel's former fiancé. Later, Rog begins to mistreat his already insecure wife Gisela, and Sofia pays a visit to his clinic to begin her revenge plan.

After a visit to the House of Secrets, Sofia leaks an intimate video of Benjamin. As Elvira confronts Sofia over her secretive behavior, "Júlia" offers herself to Carol to contain the scandal and is introduced to Lola.

When Júlia is hired by Lola to manage Benjamin's crisis, a suspicious Viviane investigates her background. After making up with Elvira, Sofia runs into a newly returned Gabriel, who has become a policeman.

While Viviane starts to piece together Júlia's lies, Lola tries to secure funding for a new venture, and Carol's father Tomás finds romance on a dinner date. Later, Lola corners Júlia in a tense confrontation.

After tailing her to Lolaland, Elvira finally confronts Sofia and threatens to reveal everything. Then, Sofia and Alec argue over Gabriel, Lola gets vulnerable with Júlia, and Sofia ruins Lola's birthday party.

As Gabriel presses her on the past, a paranoid Lola vows to find the enemy in her midst. Meanwhile, Sofia's falling out with Alec brings her closer to Gabriel, and Viviane's investigation leads her to the Paixão family.

While Lola continues her witch hunt, Sofia and Mariana find a way to throw her off the scent. Then, as Lola does damage control, Sofia begins to suspect Benjamin, and Gabriel discovers a shocking revelation about his mother.

As Gabriel and Lola argue, Alec uncovers a fraud scheme at Lolaland, and Mariana searches for Viviane. Frustrated by the Argentos, Viviane reveals everything she knows to the fake Sofia.

Elvira and Lino learn of Rog and Benjamin's deception, leading Sofia to make a risky move. After implicating both Lola and the Argentos in Rebeca's case, Viviane becomes embroiled in conflict with both parties.

At the police station, Lola accuses Sofia of planting a bomb. Despite her feelings of guilt, Sofia moves forward with her plan, searching for Rebeca's casefile in Viviane's apartment. Meanwhile, Elvira and Lino start working for the Argento family.

While Sofia blames herself, Lola celebrates. Later, Alec catches Sofia with Gabriel, Lola attempts to buy Átila's share of Lolaland, and, through Nara, Sofia leads Gabriel closer to the truth of Lola and the Argento family's crimes.

After breaking with Átila's business proposal for Lolaland, Lola takes Júlia's suggestion to invest in her own cosmetics line. While Alec tries to get back together with Sofia, the Paixão family unites to deal a major blow to the Argentos.

As the Paixão family celebrates their win against Lola, Gabriel confronts Rog. As Júlia hides out with Gabriel in the old apartment, Alec gets closer to Carol, and Lola discovers that her money is missing.

While Lola despairs over who stole her money, Átila declares his love to Marcelo. Later, Gabriel is ambushed for digging into Rebeca's case, Nara is threatened by Lola's allies, and Benjamin secretly records Lola's confession.

After discovering the hit on Nara's life, Gabriel cuts ties with Lola, whose humiliation causes her to take extreme action. Later, Alec confronts Sofia about her involvement with Gabriel.

Afraid of a scandal over Lola's hospitalization, Átila turns to Júlia for help. Then, Nara and the Paixão family jump into action when Rog tries to buy evidence that incriminates him in Rebeca's death, and Tomás stumbles on Rog's connection with Andrea.

Lola wakes up from her coma with memory loss and a newfound appreciation for the Argento family, while the audio that incriminates Rog in Rebeca's case lands with the police -- causing the Argento family to become the target of an even larger scandal.

While on the run, Rog turns to Andrea for help. Then, Gabriel reveals Rog's involvement in Rebeca's case to Gisela, Lola confesses the truth about her memory loss to Júlia, and Tomás reaches a new breaking point with his family.

As Lola blackmails Átila, Benjamin pays Rog a visit, and Gisela asks the police to help her clear Rog's name. Later, Júlia and Gabriel have a falling out, and a suspicious Lola pays someone to investigate the Paixão family.

While Elvira, Lino, and Nara find themselves with a dead body, the driver involved in Rebeca's case is arrested, and Gabriel receives a clue. Hoping to be with Carol, Alec resigns from Lolaland.

The Argento family's housekeeper, Ramona, finds evidence against Átila. Gabriel demands explanations from Lola over recent deaths, and Júlia turns down Carol's job offer to stay at Lolaland.

While Lino reveals Átila's double life to his family, Carol questions Alec's past with Júlia. Guided by Elvira and with Marcelo by his side, Átila decides to reveal his biggest secret to the whole family at a dinner

After Átila's revelation, the Argentos argue over what to do about Rog. Then, Carol informs Gabriel of Júlia's relationship with Alec, Ramona catches Elvira and Lino talking, and Júlia accepts Benjamin's loaded invitation.

After successfully seducing Benjamin, Sofia helps Lola film a documentary about her life. Meanwhile, Lino investigates Ramona, Sofia convinces Alec to allow Benjamin to take money from the company, and Tomás shows Carol the anonymous letters sent about her mother Márcia.

As Átila starts to make decisions about the future, Carol tails Ramona in search of answers. Meanwhile, Lola suspects that Benjamin has a mistress, Elvira gets into a serious fight with Sofia, and Gabriel's investigation leads him to question the Paixão family.

While Lino and Elvira make a stunning admission to Gabriel, Júlia and Benjamin deceive Lola. Later, Gabriel discovers Júlia's lies, and a figure from Átila's past makes a shocking return.

After getting the Paixãos to admit Júlia's role in their family, Gabriel exposes Lola on tape. Then, as Ana's reappearance shakes up the Argentos, Gabriel breaks into Júlia's apartment and discovers who she really is.

Having confessed to her plan of revenge, Sofia falls out with Gabriel. Then, Benjamin blackmails Átila over Márcia's death, Rog attacks Lino and kidnaps Gisela, and Lola looks into Ana's reappearance.

After Rog's arrest and Lino's release from the hospital, the Paixão family attempt to block an event at Lolaland. Meanwhile, Lola turns Alec against Carol and tells Júlia that she has evidence against Rog and Benjamin.

While Alec comes clean to Carol, Júlia gives Lola proof exposing Átila's actions, and Benjamin discovers he has been deceived by Lino and Elvira. Later, Júlia seduces Lola, who finds out her true identity.

After waking up with the word "murderer" on her forehead, Lola reveals who Sofia is to Benjamin. While Átila tries to escape from the police, Sofia decides to confront Lola with proof that implicates Rog, Benjamin, and Lola.

Sofia teams up with Benjamin, who has taken over Átila's clinic, but is humiliated by Gabriel and Elvira for taking Lola's place. As Lola faces expulsion from the Argento house, Rog joins the prison escape.

When word reaches of Rog's escape, Gabriel jumps into pursuit. Meanwhile, Lino is released, Alec receives video evidence in Rebeca's case, and Lola catches Sofia and Gabriel together.

Without telling Sofia, the Paixão family deliver a video of Rebeca to Gabriel. Then, as she and Benjamin are summoned to testify, Lola ambushes Elvira. On the night of Átila's tribute, a crime takes place.

A new police investigation finds the Paixãos and the Argentos under suspicion. Then, Elvira and Lino receive happy news from Alec and Carol, while Lola and Sofia have a final showdown.
