Police officer Jin Hee and her carefree physical therapist mom, Eun Mi, live like sisters. But after a forced demotion at work, Jin Hee returns home—only to witness an unexpected side of Eun Mi.

Now stationed at a rural police post, Jin Hee receives a burglary report from her own home. She catches the thief, only to discover he stole Eun Mi’s underwear, mistaking it for Jin Hee’s.

Eun Mi suspects domestic violence after noticing bruises on a patient. Jin Hee then meets her’s grandson, raising concern—but separating them proves legally difficult.

Jin Hee struggles to adjust to her unwanted new assignment. Suspicious figures start lurking around a woman Eun Mi once saved. A drunken team dinner brings Jin Hee closer to her senior, Jae Won.

Jin Hong begins hanging around Eun Mi. Uneasy after a nearby murder, Jin Hee grows increasingly wary. Meanwhile, Eun Mi tends to his injury at work, and his gaze suggests deeper interest.

Jin Hee is shocked to learn that Jin Hong is her biological father. Much to her frustration, Eun Mi continues to see him, despite Jin Hee’s warning.

As Eun Mi recovers from another attack, Jin Hong’s parents pressure them to marry. It may seem like a good option for Jin Hee’s sake—but their families couldn’t be more different.

Following a chaotic visit, Eun Mi’s foster mother passes away. It’s a first true loss for both Eun Mi and Jin Hee. Considering independence, Jin Hee thinks about moving out and returning to headquarters.
