The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency

After launching Botswana's first female-run detective agency, Precious Ramotswe investigates cases involving a missing boy, a missing finger, a cheating husband and a dubious daddy.

When a young boy named Wellington comes into the agency looking for work, Precious hires him to hand out flyers. Meanwhile, Precious checks out a Nigerian dentist who has suspicious mood swings, helps a worried man, Rre Banda, in his search for his missing dog and stumbles upon the case of a missing husband.

Precious visits a local orphanage, where a young woman tells her she's worried about her father who seems unusually fearful. A new client, Dr. Sibenke, asks Precious to investigate the mysterious deaths of three patients under his care, who each died on a Friday at 2 o'clock. Later, a wealthy landowner hires her to investigate a suspected poisoning in his family.

An American woman, Andrea Curtin, comes to the agency looking for her son who disappeared 10 years earlier. Grace asks for a promotion and BK finds his salon ransacked. Precious and Andrea discover that a woman named Clara may be involved in the case of "The Boy with an African Heart." Later, Grace reveals a long-held secret to Precious.

Mma Pekwane comes to the agency fearing that her husband has purchased a stolen car. Patel, a local electronics-store owner, asks Precious to investigate whether his daughter has a secret boyfriend. JLB uses a "high-tech" solution to help Precious with stolen sedan. Grace dives into her new assistant-detective role.

Precious and Grace learn of a rival agency and decide to check out the competition. A beauty-pageant promoter asks Precious to vet the contestants in his Beauty and Integrity contest. Patel asks Precious to ramp up her investigation of Nandira, his daughter. Meanwhile, when JLB goes away, Precious discovers that absence makes the heart grow fonder.

The agency is hit by a string of break-ins. Meanwhile, Precious receives an unnerving phone call: Note Mokoti is back in town! Later, after receiving distressing news from Note, Precious uncovers some information to leverage against him. She also makes a discovery in the break-in cases and investigates a suspicious jeweler.
