The Batman finds himself dealing with a new breed of criminal when Joker takes over Arkham Asylum then plans to fly a hot air balloon filled with Joker Gas -- a toxin that leaves its victims in a strange "rictus" state -- and release its contents all over Gotham!

"Ozzy" Cobblepot, aka Penguin, has delusions of rebuilding the lost Cobblepot fortune, via high-flying robberies employing various trained birds. Unaware of Cobblepot's criminal plans, Alfred goes to the dilapidated Cobblepot mansion where he is ensnared by Ozzy. Penguin will let his hungry birds feast upon Alfred, unless The Batman can rescue him in time.

The Batman battles the masked criminal Bane, and once Bane activates his chemical-steroid-infusion, Batman finds himself outmatched by brute strength.

After a news report erroneously links her with The Batman, Selina Kyle, the cat burglar known as Catwoman, decides she wants to meet her nighttime counterpart. After luring her prey, Catwoman steals Batman's utility belt!

Dr. Langstrom, a scientist in Wayne Industry's Genome Division, has been experimenting with bats, thus threatening to endanger Bruce's secret identity. But before Bruce can stop him, Dr. Langstrom gives himself the experimental serum he's been concocting and transforms into the hideous Man-Bat, before flying off to wreak havoc across Gotham!

The Batman is on the trail of Mr. Freeze, a villain who uses his ice technology as a means of stealing the objects of his passion: the rarest, most valuable diamonds.

Joker wreaks havoc on all of Gotham with a new gizmo that can morph any object into rubber or putty. Meanwhile, the Chief of Police pressures his detectives to take down The Batman once and for all!

Batman is pitted against a new villain named Clayface, who can transform his body as if it were clay and impersonate anyone he chooses! Before The Batman can stop him, he will learn Clayface's shocking dark secret!

Penguin and Catwoman join forces to steal a pair of valuable gems. But when The Batman arrives to stop them, Catwoman is double-crossed by Penguin, who handcuffs her to the Dark Knight. With the handcuffs wired to explode if removed, the pair are forced to work together to stop Penguin. Detective Yin's suspicions are aroused as she tests her new partnership with the Batman.

Fearing that Riddler will make good on his threat to destroy the city, The Batman and Detective Yin's secret alliance is put at risk when they must work together to solve a string of riddles that have been scattered throughout Gotham.

Firefly and Mr. Freeze make an unlikely pair as they join forces to plunge Gotham into a permanent winter. With the entire police force "iced over," The Batman is the city's only hope for survival.

Joker dons the costume of his greatest rival, The Batman, and terrorizes all of Gotham. When the real Batman tries to stop him, Joker injects the Dark Knight with a poison that will cause him to laugh to death unless he can create an antidote.

Killer Croc, a half-man, half-reptile, plans to submerge all of Gotham under water to carry out his scheme of plundering the city.

The Batman finds himself caught in the middle of a game of one upmanship between master thieves Ragdoll, a triple-jointed contortionist, and Catwoman. Meanwhile, Selina Kyle, Catwoman's alter ego, eyes Bruce Wayne as a possible target for future robberies.

Spellbinder, a three-eyed mystic with the ability to induce both hypnosis and visions, sets his sights on stealing the valuable Eye of Sarkana -- mesmerizing Alfred to be his personal thief.

Solomon Grundy, a legendary zombie, emerges from a swamp on Halloween to wreak havoc on Gotham. But Batman and Alfred discover that there is more to Grundy than there appears.

Joker takes Detective Yin hostage. But when Joker is captured, he refuses to tell of Yin's whereabouts. Convinced it's the only way to learn Yin's location before she meets her demise, Batman uses a device created by Professor Hugo Strange to enter the bizarre brain of Joker in search of an answer.

Joker, Penguin and Riddler battle over control of the City. They finally decide to settle their differences by giving all of Gotham over to whoever is able to capture and discover the true identity of the Batman.
