1. The Polar Express (2004)

Based on the novel by Chris Van Allsburg, The Polar Express is a touching Christmas tale about a young boy who stops believing in Santa when he’s met with the adventure of a lifetime on The Polar Express — a magical train headed to the North Pole.

2. Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch (2018)

In this modern take on the classic 1966 cartoon Christmas movie, the infamously mean and bitter Grinch attempts to ruin the holiday for all the Whos in Whoville. But there’s one brave little girl who might just have enough Christmas spirit in her heart to make the Grinch change his ways.

3. The Year Without a Santa Claus (1974)

What happens when Santa Claus gets a cold on Christmas Eve? In this Rankin/Bass Production, Mrs. Claus and the rest of Santa’s crew embark on a mission, determined to remind Santa what Christmas is all about — even if they have to face Heat Miser and Snow Miser to do so. Will Santa regain his magic before Christmas has come and gone?

4. Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

Since we all know the holiday season starts on November 1 (cue the Christmas music), what better way to transition than with a movie that celebrates both Halloween and Christmas? Jack Skellington, The Pumpkin King, is sick of the same old routine. But when he tries to change things up, he puts Santa Claus in danger and must fix his mistake before Christmas morning.

5. Mickey Saves Christmas (2022)

6. Prep & Landing (2009)

When Wayne (one of Santa’s grumpy elves) is passed over for a promotion, he teams up with a new partner, Lanny, who’s definitely on the nice list. On their first mission together, there are a few bumps in the road that could ruin Christmas morning for children around the world.
