Andrew Stern commented on the review "No More Bravo"
Just a general note -- I've spoken with a few hollywood honchos on just this matter. It has nothing to do with them realizing that the web is the future for TV content -- they know and are extremely aware of that - that's the reason Hulu is here (originally started as a joint venture between NBC and Fox, and now Disney has a stake as well). But the revenue is simply not there for them. There simply isn't the amount of advertising dollars on sites like Hulu as companies are willing to pay for spots on broadcast TV. Networks are afraid, and rightfully so, that by putting shows on the web, they will lose broadcast viewership, and therefore lose the much more lucrative advertising revenue. It's simply a numbers game, and that isn't going to change anytime soon. It will take a while before advertising revenue received from online video achieves the amount of money a company generates from broadcast television. Until then, don't expect everything you see on TV to be readily available online - it's just not financially possible.
