The Simpsons

Maybe there are other bands out there, but i don't think much of any of the new music/bands will ever fit my style. I grew up in the 80s and 90s and while that isn't necessarily the kind of music i prefer, i still consider it the classics compared to what is out now. Personally i am a classic rock type of guy when not listening to emusic.. You know back when rock and roll actually meant something and sounded good. Like... Pink Floyd, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, The Who, and the list could go on and on... Even much of the metal i used to love when i was growing up doesn't always hit my ears in a pleasing manner.. Maybe i'm just getting too old (almost 35) to enjoy it... never thought id turn into my parents.. but there you have it.. The Circle of LifeThe one metal band that I wish i could still listen to made the fatal mistake of going after its fans during the Napster debacle, and because of that they lost every ounce of respect i had for them. Its too bad they had to be hypocrites about it, considering they used to bootleg their own stuff out of the trunk of their car when they were up and coming. Granted before Napster, Metallica had pretty much lost me after the Black album, which even that album wasn't that great but it did have a few good songs. And i will hesitantly admit i heard one of their new songs on the radio and it sounds like they might be going back to their roots a little. Bring back Garage Days, Ride the Lightning. MoP, Kill Em All, etc etc, and who knows maybe I will forgive them for the pop garbage they put out in the past 10 years. :-)   See 6 other replies

firstly id like to say that there are endless alternative ways of finding music from bands that arent sell out gold miners. music tv is totally worthless because its all crap geared to make people stupid and controllable. thats what it seems like xD theres tons of good bands out there, and "electronic" is hardly untouched by this malady. the problem is it seems, is that thee quality musicians are not being brought to you on a platter. go looking :)and i totally agree with the main point! F baseball! i dont give two s---s about the world series, its hardly a good reason to stop all new episodes from airing for at least 6 shows, this is ridiculous.   See 6 other replies

All i can say is to hell with baseball and the world series.. im so sick of sports on TV.. they should make sports like concerts.. YOU HAVE TO PAY TO SEE THEM.. The problem is this there are as many people if not more that DONT watch sports on TV and would much rather see The Simpsons or whatever else that would normally be shown. Besides isnt that whet the hell SPORTS CHANNELS are for.. you cant tell me that a person who wants to watch teh world series wouldnt tune into OH SAY.. FOX SPORTS NETWORK.. and then fox would still make their advertising money and satisfy both their sports fans and their non-sports fans. Besides isnt their a enough damm sports on TV as it is.. I mean between sports, news, and shop at home stations they take up a good 1/6th of TV channels, and then the other majority is worthless programming like Reality Shows, Talk Shows, and then top that off with a dose of garbage music TV (there actually used to be a time when MTV and VH1 was decent), of course i attribute most of that to this crap they call music now. And people wonder why I started listening to Electronic music.   See 6 other replies
