The Secret Life of the American Teenager

I used to only watch this show because it's like watching a train wreck, and I couldn't help myself. But it's been hard to stomach the last few episodes. Let's start with the simplest reason: the acting. I cringe through the entirety of every episode. NO ONE on this show can act; it's just painful. But even the best actors would have a hard time with this one because of . . .. . . the writing. Seriously, this is some of the worst writing I've ever seen. The plot is nonsensical and inconsistent. The characters are flat and inconsistent. They decide they love someone in one episode, and move on just as quickly to the next person in the following episode. Plus, nothing in this show is realistic. Amy is a young, unmarried, teenage mother, yet she still has time to fix her hair and makeup each morning, go to school, do homework, and still take care of her son. Apparently, she still has the money to dress nice, and never had to worry about losing the baby weight. And everyone was ok with her running off to New York for a month to shop and hang out in clubs? Really? Which brings me to the third thing: what is the point of this show? At the beginning, and from the title, I got the sense that the writers intended to show realistic teen characters going through realistic teen things and dealing with them like real people would. Um, all these characters ever talk/think about/deal with is sex. No one talks about sex that much. No one deals with sex like the characters in this show. No one is ever going to get anything helpful out of this show. What is the point? 10 Things I Hate About You was cancelled. Kyle XY was cancelled. I've heard rumors that Huge was cancelled (but I'm not sure about that one, so don't hold me to it). But garbage like this continues to run. If this gets a 4th season, I will have lost all hope for ABC Family. Will someone please explain to me why this show continues to exist? What does anyone see in it?

The dude needs to get a life bad. I mean his character revolves around outdated christian views and his interest in Grace and Madison. You can't save the damned but Jessie can at least avoid Jack because he's a loser. If I was Grant I'd round house kick em in skull ending the guy.But to serious if I was Grant and Jack kept popping into a converasation saying something about abstinence. I would say "do you know what the word means Jack? I means not to have sex until marriage, why dirty up a non action with a title. If we don't have sex that day it'll be just like every other day we won't have sex. We will do things you never did together. for instance talk about anything else that doesn't include sex. Also if we do have sex what's the big deal? Will god strike me down or something? Then I dare god right now to strike me down RIGHT NOW! You God fearing football D****e!Then I would round house Jack. Guy thinks we his P****.

Everyone wants everyone else but they dont want anyone else to be with anyone else but them....
Its actually getting pretty funny watching someone trying to get with certain people or to keep that door open just in case so they have someone to fall back on if their current relationship doesnt work out.Jack was funny this episode with the running gag of him walking in on the end of conversations and saying something about abstinence.
