I love Butler's embodiment of the naive sexually repressed suburban mother, who has the merest slice of power and derives all pleasure from tyrannically wielding it. Absurdly. In a library--excuse me--in an interactive learning centre. Frances O'Brien's racism is an ugly expression of her lack of sophistication--she is unable to really connect with anyone, and won't try for fear of being wounded..see childhood for details.

All the characters are such simple two dimensional stereotypes and, even worse, not one of them is at all likeable. This is one series I won't bother finishing.

I like the show. It's a refreshing change from American comedies with teir laugh tracks, and yes I do think Francis is hot.

This is a great show. It took a little bit of watching to really get a handle on it but after the first two or three episodes I fell in love with the outrageous comedy of the Librarians. The acting was great, just good fun all round. I also found Robyn Butler's character, head librarian Frances O' Brian to be the star of the show. If your an American and you enjoy good British comedy you'll like this one from Australia. The only problem with it is there needs to be more shows! I could keep watching the adventures of these quirky, edgy, hilarious Librarians.
