Yes, the whole bit with the women and kids was weird and surreal... If they are so scared of him why bring the kids to take a peek? ( Rhetorical question :)I did love this movie though, must find the book.

Oh, this is normal. The majority of the movies being made now were originally books and/or are remakes of older movies. IE: You Got Mail was a remake of Shop Around the Corner, which was a remake of The Music Shop (I I think I have those in the right order). Either that, or they are adding prequels to movies (star trek, star wars, terminator). They are just giving it a new spin, or think with our technology, can make a better looking film.As for this particular run, Omega Man was awful. Nothing like the book, and completely missed on the menace. The I Am Legend movie was different from the book (I liked the character in the movie better than the book),but I think it is good in its own right. It did give a nod towards the ending of the book in the alternate ending that you can find on the DVD. The Last Man on Earth is also very good, a little more for the fact that it pretty much sticks to the book.

lol i loved i am legend and omega man but i havent seen last man on earth yet imma bout to watch it it looks good lol well sounds good lol i am legend was like sorta different from omega man because how i remember omega man was koolz and this dude knew the ppl who only come out in darkness and they were sum kind of a cult from what i remember lol in i am legend they didnt even show that or have a scene like that but both are very good films lol
