This show came out during what I like to call the First Wave of the reality tv craze, when networks were starting to scramble to find salacious unscripted shows. This show was the pinnacle of sleazy television... and although I hate to admit this, I loved it. Reality television is all about voyeurism, and this show allows viewers to look in on the most troublesome and intimate moments of couples’ relationships. I found it a very addictive guilty pleasure. There are some issues with editing, so that you don’t really get to know all of the couples. If they had limited it to 3 couples instead of 4, it would have helped with the story telling aspect of the show. Other than that, sit back and enjoy the train wrecks in front of you… the producers who take the show WAY too seriously, the blind women who make excuses for their boyfriends’ behaviors, the men who get angered about some hand holding when they have done much worse, and the dramatic singles who forget that these people are on the island to explore, not to form new lasting relationships with them.The only real problem here that some others have mentioned is the hulu descriptions. DON’T READ THE DESCRIPTIONS. They have horrible spoilers in them. Accidentally reading part of one almost ruined the entire season for me! Also, they need to put up season 3. I never got to see it when it aired.
