I watched some of it back in the 70s. After seeing it again i'm amazed of how independent and apart the SWAT team is in relation to the police force. They didn't have to deal with bureaucracy and they even did their own detective work!! The series was highly rated at the time but was abruptly canceled after the second season due to pathetic claims of excessive violence. I believe it was the first television show to feature the M-16 rifle. In fact, it's one of the stars of the show!

I worked for aaron spelling in the middle 70's. I also worked for Universal in the 70's. Adam 12 McCloud Emergency Banacek Toma Barreta Kojak. So SWAT is in a long line of long hours and long days of work. When someone said there was a web site where you could see those again. They said HULU. I Have an archive of my 32 years working ,But it's on VHSand 3/4. Thats what they used then. Its nice that I can come here while I transfer to DVD all my VHS archive. Just for the nostalgia value alone it is great. See 4 other replies

I liked S.W.A.T. when it was on television. I particularly liked Robert Urich and he was a very good actor. Too bad we lost him to cancer. Can HULU get "Spenser for Hire" and "Lonesome Dove" series? Robert was really good in those also.

I agree that this show should be up for best 70 show there are a few tv shows that I remember watching when I was a child and this was on of my favorites, and the of course the Lone Ranger and there is always HeeHaw. But some of my favorite Memories is sitting in front of the black and white tv watching this show. See 4 other replies

I am thrilled to find my favorite show from the 70s! I was a kid in '75 and was very disappointed when the series was cancelled after Season 2! At least I can see them all, again. See 4 other replies

I love the new series they are doing here, its great would like to see more episodes of it, would be nice to get it in a different page of its own away from the 70's show
