Scrubs

I am very very happy to say that the new Scrubs season is, in my opinion, as good as it could possibly be. I miss the old cast and story, just like the rest of us, but I love the new direction. I wouldn't mind seeing it continue for another decade. It's funny though, the only character I refuse to let leave is Cox. I don't know what I would do without his humor. But...that being said, I see great potential in the Cox/JD cross-over exhibited by Drew.Bravo Scrubs writers, and thank you Hulu for once again being brilliant

...and still doing it. I personally don't see why anyone could think that this season is any less funny than the other seasons. In fact, the first 8 seasons started to feel a bit repetitive and dull after a while. By the time the characters had developed from interns to full-fledged doctors, they had gone from frightened "newbies" to confident healers, and their personal lives had developed as well, with them getting married and having children.
But now with a new cast, and new characters to get to know as they (hopefully over a few seasons) develop into respectable doctors in their own right, the creators are able to take new people and give them their own challenges. While the lack of J.D. and Elliot as main characters may seem like a bad thing, the new cast is strong enough that it won't leave you feeling bitter for their absence. Scrubs is as funny now as it has ever been for me, if not more.
I have every episode from the first 8 seasons on DvD, and I've watched them all many times, and I can guarantee you, I'll be doing the same with this season, and every other season they make in the future.

...hate the direction the show is taking now but I truly dont understand. I LOVE the way the show has changed. I think every sitcom should take a radically different direction after so many seasons, just to shake things up and make things fresh again. I actually like the show better now than I did before! I laughed out loud like 20 times during this episode. The blonde girl who has the internal narration/monologue/dialogue (whatever you call it) is hilarious to me. That look on her face when she thought to herself about the horse pajamas cracked me up. And Cole is so incredibly funny. I think he has the best smile I've ever seen. I cant tell if his smile is melting my heart or making me wanna laugh but either way it's awesome! If Cole's character (white dude kinda acting like an urban black dude) were in a dramatic tv show it would probably irritate me but this is a comedy! So it just fits into the whole ridiculous hilarity of the show. I love, love, love this show! I dont understand why EVERYBODY doesnt love it. What's not to love? It's hilarious. There are very few shows that make me laugh out loud throughout the entire show. Give it a chance people!

Yes, the ninth season (should've been dubbed season 1) of Scrubs is different - IT'S A WHOLE NEW SHOW. Long beloved characters are gone. Get over it. It's unfortunate that people hate on this show simply because it's different from the original Scrubs. At this point it's definitely better than most episodes of the later seasons of the original Scrubs. It may have taken a few episodes to find it's footing, but hey, I think that's mostly due to JD still hanging around in the beginning. The way his part this season was written, the way he was written into the show, it was like a super over the top ridiculous ungrounded cartoon emo version of the JD that originally won our hearts, and I think it threw off the balance of the show. Not to mention left less time to develop the new characters during the early episodes and thereby convince the audience to continue watching.
