Aha! Makes total sense. I guess we all just assume you guys (Hulu and/or your attorneys) will take care of all of that legal stuff so we don't have to think about it.
(My ex is a Documentary Filmmaker, so I know how hard it can be. Every little detail has to be considered! Logos, Songs, License Plate #s, Addresses, etc. And you better make sure that anyone appearing on that film has signed a contract before even filming them at all!)
And then there's always the degree of content too. Is it too vulgar to put on a website that almost ANYONE can join?
Dang... Still wish I could watch Rescue Me...
Sorry for the novel... But thanks Thomas A. for that information! Now I won't be angry when I look-up a series and find a bunch of seasons/episodes missing. (And I won't search endlessly through people's posts to try and figure out "WHY!?"...)

I know! I was so happy when I saw that Hulu HAS Rescue Me, then went to the page and was really disappointed... Why are the episodes so random? 1 Episode of Season 4 and 4 Episodes of Season 5? Where are all the rest of the seasons? With EVERY Episode included?   See 1 other reply

I'm sorry the videos expired on you like that. How long we're able to keep videos up depends on our agreements with the owner of the content.Of course we'd love to have everything up permanently – it doesn't benefit us to have less content, and it definitely doesn't benefit our users – but the way things work right now, our ability to stream a show can be limited by any number of legal or business agreements. While I can't speak to these episodes in particular, stuff can expire due to issues with music clearances, upcoming DVD/Blu-ray releases, or syndication sales.Again, I'm sorry the videos had to come down, but I'm hoping we'll get it back at some point.Regards,   See 2 other replies
