It's true that both these women wind up making decisions that can make viewers unhappy: however, look around you in your life. Look at friends, acquaintances...how many times do we see this in life? Most of us have made decisions we looked back on later and kicked ourselves over, because we weren't true to ourselves when we made them.

I totally agree that it's sad we'll almost certainly never see more Nana made; I am sorry the mangaka was sick and then just couldn't go back to it. But I can understand why--you have to, in a sense, "live with" your characters, and this group is so heartbreaking it would be really rough to have to get back into their lives once one was out of it.

Thats like watching star trek and giving it a bad review because you hate scifi. Stupid review, stupid comment.

Pure drama.... Why watch? Ten episodes -- build character-- no actions... So what? I might as well look outside my window-- at my neighbor's dogs. I might as well watch an American soap -- which has lost viewer ship as well! I might as well watch "reality TV". I guess I'm not "in touch" with the asian heartbeat here... If you'r going to be gay just do it. Enough said!

One of the most beautifully sad endings I have ever seen in anime. To think about the sacrifice that Nobuo is committing only deepens my love for his character. However,I think that Nana (Hachi) seriously needs to STOP MAKING SUCH STUPID DECISIONS. I really hated her for completely screwing up her life all because she doesn't know how to love. To be fair though other Nana doesn't know how to love either. Both she and Ren are absolutely obsessed with each other its a sort of desperate, unhealthy attachment that I'd hate to see break (but know that it will eventually). Such cruelty that the anime ends here.
