I agree, I'm not sure the big networks are getting it. I don't really get much time to watch tv, and although DVR is an excellent concept, it comes along with a $60+ monthly bill that doesnt make a lot of sense to someone who has a very, very limited tv schedule. The networks seem to only rate a show's value based on the "viewers" while the show is being aired (which I assume includes DVR), but they seem to have fallen behind when it comes to this new medium. I would even pay an extra fee to help pay for a few of my favorite shows that were cancelled (My Name is Earl, Jericho, and a couple of others), call it the Self Preservation fee and make it elective-allow the payer to choose a couple of their favorite shows that might be on the chopping block-enough people pay that the shows can be saved, great.. if not refund the fee... We, the fans, should have more control over what we get to watch. And also, what would be so wrong with Hulu exclusive seasons? Genius right? Here is your ad: Hulu Plus Exclusives! -The show must go on! Finally, your voice has been heard! Sign up for Hulu Plus Exclusives today! Gain access to all internet and Hulu exclusive episodes and series plus you get to add your top three favorite shows to the online petition-at the end of the year, the online petition is tallied up, and the three shows share funding to create online exclusive episodes for the next season, and grab a larger share of advertising revenues from online viewers of that show. Just an idea, but come on, doesn't it make a little bit of sense at least? I welcome any responses, maybe a collective think tank is what we really need. Speak up viewers!
