After the "lost season" where David and Maddie contemplate their ids and egos, season five was actually pretty good. They got back to basics, making funny, witty and good shows. But it was too late. Everyone knew season five was the end. By the way, the title of episode 9 is "Perfetc", not "Perfect".
The "Taming of the Shrew" episode was called "Atomic Shakespeare" and was probably one of the top 5 episodes. But it's one of those shows where you needed to see the previous shows to understand the lore - to get the gags behind the gags. Kind of like the "Jose Chung" episode of X-Files, a total send-up of UFO mythology and conspiracy theories.
Don't remember Maddie buying a Yugo - it wouldn't have been her kind of car - but I haven't seen Moonlighting since it went off Bravo years ago.
God, it's great to see Moonlighting again. The opening always made feel warm and gave me chills at the same time. And what magnificent dialogue! Man, ABC rocked in the late 80s! Moonlighting AND Sledge Hammer.
