Attack of the Feminists :)Face it, women are more worried about their appearance then men are, hence the difference it dress. But more to the point, who cares. If all you are going to do is tear the show apart because of perceived bias, then you might as well not watch tv at all. Everything is biased, everywhere, all the time. It is inescapable. Just enjoy the show for what it is, and if you can't do that, then don't watch it.

r. saylors & steve -- when Lightman was slumped in a grey-whiskered, sweaty, untidy pile over his glass at the bar, those flashing lights and the techno beat totally complimented his oozing... confidence? Hmm. Nope. But wasn't that girl in her early 20's just gagging for him? Just like a hottie would go after any ratty old man who inexplicably showed up in a trendy nightclub full of hardbodies. And swagger? You betcha. The way he sat there looking distracted just *screamed* lovegod to me.Contrast the hygiene and clothing choices of the women characters against the men. The relative amount spent on dry cleaning, hair products and shoes. Now -- put that disparity up against the fact that those men and women are doing exactly the same job, and representing the company to exactly the same people.I'm going to acknowledge the writers' and studio's biases -- they could have good writers, but they don't. They spend money on flashy visuals instead. That's a bias. They uptown the women while skidrowing the men. That's a bias. I'm not going to ignore a fact just because it highlights the false and weighted "competition" you've spent a lifetime being brainwashed to accept as "natural" between men and those scary women.

This isn't a review, it's a rant. Next time you feel like venting, start a discussion.

It's not "political commentary" to say that Colin Powell's speech to the UN was based on lies. It's a fact. If telling the truth counts as political commentary to you, then I advise you to stop watching TV altogether and go join a cult or something. That way you can live in your fantasy world all the time, instead of being forced to engage with reality and the people who live in it.

I agree with RS on this one, even though I couldn't have done the math. As a thought, statistically the most dangerous demographic IS middle aged (30s-ish) white men.
Yes, the show bends a bit to the left, but what program on television doesn't bend in one way or another? And besides, it isn't really discriminating against white men; it is exploring a particular sort of power.
The other "heroes" (and one who is pretty fallible) is Mekhi Pheifer's character, the Latina woman who works at Lightman, and whatever police/FBI officers they put into the show.
Also, in case you weren't paying attention, in the episode with the black man accused of raping an underage white woman, the show ends with the revelation that the DA isn't racist, he is misunderstood by a former colleague. If anything, the champions of this show are white men. They are the ones in charge and who save the day.
