Ray Stevens commented on the review "real truckers"
OK Hugh is not a really great representative of the industry, but first the pistol incident seemed to be some kind of a play air gun probably an air soft gun. So while dumb should have been safe to do.Second if you were really paying attention first Hugh originally didn't know that the heater wasn't working, and it probably could have failed in use after Rick started driving it. Second he was not insisting that Rick drive the truck that way. Instead Risk was insisting that he should take Hugh's truck and have Hugh be down while it was fixed, and Hugh was saying nothing doing, you want it fixed I will pay the repair bill because it is my truck, but it is your responsibility, so you take your down time to do it. So Risk could have had a working heater, he should would have been off the ice road for a day or so, and he didn't want the loss of money that this would entail. It was his choice. But that said Hugh is also a very poor example. Alex is certainly by all of the shows I have seen so far a much better example. From what I know of truckers in general he is also probably a much more typical example.
