Description

A former-pro-soccer-player-turned-Michelin-starred-chef, Gordon Ramsay is looking for someone with the potential to become America's next culinary star. The heat is on and the "steaks" are high as the contestants endure Ramsay's hellishly intense culinary boot camp. Each week Ramsay will grill the ambitious hopefuls as they attempt to prove they have what it takes to run their own restaurant. He will slice and dice the contestants, keeping only those who possess the right combination of ingredients to ensure success. The contestants' inexperience, combined with the perfectionist Ramsay's acid tongue, may be a recipe for disaster, but for one aspiring restaurateur, it's the chance of a lifetime. I have watched every episode of Hell's Kitchen this season each Wednesday when they are posted on Hulu. Are they really that ignorant that they would post the spoiler of the winner right in the caption???

Well, I guess there's no need to watch the last episode since we know who has won.

Did you have to title the 'congratulations' clip with a spoiler? You couldn't have named it 'Congratulations' or 'Congrats to the Winner' or something? I was still catching up, and now the final episode is ruined before I watch it :(

I also like Kitchen Nightmares, but this show is like HK in one crucial way. It's all fakery. Of 13 restaurants Ramsay has tried to save in Kitchen Nightmares, only 5 are still in business. So, his pull-out-all-the-stops strategy doesn't really work in most of the cases. Granted, the economy is down and that also plays a part. Even in the best economy, I don't think his success rate would be high. Drama, yes. Reality, no.

This year's reward was bad.. especially since I've read that Dave won't even be 'head chef. at Araxi Instead, he will be merely 'an employee'. Probably, a line cook. Consider just how grueling is HK just to be a line cook. He probably could have won that position on his own by submitting his resume. While I agree that I missed the redecoration of the dining room and the personalized menu, I understand why it didn't happen (probably because Araxi pulled the plug on their sponsorship). This was an odd way to end the show, but not unexpected. After all, it is on its 6th season. So, I'd be surprised if it actually makes it back for a 7th after this.
