Original post: "LMAO...bug killers by day 'ghost hunters' by night with no education but a serious greed to prey on the gullibles. I don't watch this drivel, I actually feel sorry for those poor souls that do ... come ON people get real there are people with PhD.s in these areas yet exterminators of bugs, mics and hornets are the ones that find them. ROFLMAO"
Response: You know.. I guess it just goes to prove that you really *don't* watch the show. These guys aren't bug exterminators... they're plumbers. Perhaps that's not much better in your eyes, however perhaps you should give the show a try sometime. They eplain a lot. It might not make sense... plumbers as ghost hunters? What the hell? But hear them out... they spend a lot of time in people's houses, especially in cold, dark, damp, dank basements. People who report hearing "ghosts" in their homes- Jason and Grant can usually (about 80% of the time) "debunk" these claims just by checking out the plumbing in the basement, and throughout the house. Sometimes what sounds/feels like a presence, is nothing more than a water heater kicking on, or leaky faucet. Sometimes it's a loose doorknob, shortage in the electrical wiring, uneven foundation, play on lights, loose/rattling window, etc etc. If you don't get it by now, these guys are not believers in paranormal activity... they are wholehearted skeptics and they go into a case attempting to prove the client wrong. ("I heard my front door slamming shut while I was sleeping!!" ... "No ma'am, that was just the wind slamming against your window.") When they can't prove the client wrong, that's when they will say a place is haunted.
