Full House

I liked it, and I actually liked that it looked like a manga throughout most of the season. Then again, I make manga, so it follows that I'd like them. It was cute, and so were the actors.

There are some cute scenes, and the actors are good, but the story is completely ridiculous. A body-switching plotline (Secret Garden) or a girlfirend that is a mythical being (Gumiho) are both actually much more believable than Full House's concept. This is the first well-produced kdrama I've watched where the implausibility of the story was so great that it interfered with my enjoyment of the series.

A quick scan of the interweb says this show had fantastic ratings through it's whole season, so I expected to get another A class modern drama. All I got was annoyed. The way this show starts out is so unbelievably idiotic that you have to have to willingly go dumb for a few hours to accept the complications that launch the story. I've seen enough drama's to know it takes a few episodes to work out the kinks but the writing for the main actress's response to a life-shattering catastrophe is completely bogus. What would you do to the person who stole all your money, house, and left you in a far away place to die? To whatever you just answered, why do that when you can just be a slave! But that's only the beginning. The show is so poorly written that you can't focus on the romance nor fall in love with the characters because their situation is so incredibly fake! I strongly believe the high ratings were all thanks to Bi Rain's loyal fans (for those of you that don't know, he's a very talented/popular singer). If you think I'm exaggerating, at the time this review was written, all the posts in the discussion section don't go beyond episode 5... there's a good reason for that.
