We are able to post five episodes at a time from Season 1 of Firefly, with a new episode added each Monday. The order of episodes reflects the sequence used for the DVD release as chosen by the show's executive producer.
The Crew of a starship travel through outer space after Earth's resources have diminished and forced us to look elsewhere in 2517. Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds (Nathan Fillion) steers his bandit-crew through anything to keep them alive, and keep flying.
Anybody else catch the shout out on Big Bang theory where Sheldon equated Rupert Murdoch with Darth Vader because he owns Fox and Fox cancelled Firefly?
I've actually thought about how it could be done. there are 3 ways in doing it. 1) do a series based on the events and happenings before the original series took place. where it covers how all the original members of the crew came together; a more in depth view. 2) base the series like you said between the movie and the end of the series, but that would only contain a short amount time seeing as how in the original series; i.e. days, weeks or months could pass by between the episodes. 3) pick up where the movie left off. but seeing as how some of the cast members have since moved on it would be unfeasible. The best way that either could be done would to create a CG version of the series. like what was done with Star Wars: The Clone Wars. and I'm not referring to the first series with that title, i'm referring to the second series of that title. the one now playing. in theory, more could be done visually with CG than with live action.

I believe continueing from after the movie with a possible second movie in much this manner was concidered. Of course as Jamie points out above there s\would be some drastic diferences. I think it would be interesting to see how things went with the alliance. Does seem like a platform is set up for a second war..if perhaps a little less direct one. Seems like it would end up playing our a lot like Star Wars..but with more Hans and no Luke...
