Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_empty Great timing for the film and good overall movie!
I knew Drew was gonna deliver on her end---but the reason I wanted to see this was Jimmy! I wanted to see if he could make that leap from SNL to silverscreen---guess what he delivers! The timing was great if you'll recall the Sox won the year this came out! The story itself is hilarious and very well done. I recommend this if you're looking for some comedy and a nice story to go with it. jfwrtv.freeforums.org

Jimmy Fallon plays the type of guy I want in my life in this movie. and for the person who said this was an improbably ending for the movie NEVER knew baseball. This movie was actually filmed during the Red Sox winning the world series that year. if you have the original version -- like i have -- you'd see the way they filmed it. it's really an amazing story how it all happened once they started putting the movie together.

This was a great film, I am a fan of Drew Barrymore and she definitely delivers in this movie. I wasn't sure I was going to like it because Im not a fan of baseball:( but it was delightful to watch and I would recommend it!

Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_empty Rating_empty From a Yankees fan
It is a decent movie worth watching if you have time to kill. The acting, at times, came across as acting rather than genuine experience which was distracting, but it is understandable when considering the lines they had to deliver. The characters don't seem to be developed enough for the audience to form an attachment. Grandiose scenes aside, the characters' reactions to some more common situations seem awkward (their first date for example). Overall the plot was original and endearing enough to transcend its shortcomings.

If you're a BoSox fan... add another star to my rating.

Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_empty good laughs
i don't think you really have to be a red sox's fan at all to enjoy this movie. If you are a fan that is just a bonus. Drew and Jimmy have good chemistry and the story line is original enough to keep you interested. I laughed enough to consider this a good romantic comedy, I would like to see more work like this for Fallon. No more cab movies!

Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Beef Roller is a moron
He says

1) This is not a movie for you if you like any other team than the Boston Red Sox 2) This is a film for people that love the sport as a whole and not just a specific team

His opening two sentences argue two entirely different points.

Natural Selection did not do it's job with this nut job.
