You know Maks was my favorite pro last season but this year he's just been getting on my nerves. So arrogant! Maybe they should take him off for a season just to puncture that ego a little bit. See 7 other replies

He needs to be replaced. I've enjoyed watching him in the past, but he was terrible this season. He is constantly walking out on his partners, and he's so full of himself. It used to be cute, and the dancing was better. Now, he's just nasty and mean. See 7 other replies

I have to admit I felt very much like this...until I actually watched the show. Very talented and beautiful people who are totally passionate about what they do paired with a variety of people from different aspects of "celebrity", in some cases the term "celebrity" being used very loosely.
All of the people involved either are, or quickly become very "into" the experience, or they are quickly ousted by the judges and audience.
And then to see what these amazing people can get these folks to do is in itself, just amazing to watch. And to watch what are clearly going to be lifelong friendships develop is an aspect I had never considered.
I never watched an episode until season 9, and thought EXACTLY that this is what was wrong with America. But once I did watch one I got pulled in totally.
For me the Dancers are the stars and the celebrities are very close to the ordinary folks like the rest of us given this amazing opportunity to interact with these really special people.
Very beautiful people doing very amazing and beautiful physical expressions....what's not to like? It is no mistake that this is the number one show in America.

Lets face it, not only does this show have world class athletes, it sports some of the most beautiful and talented women in the world.
Ms. Karina Smirnoff has always been very pleasant to look at but something about her this year is even more beautiful. She just seems ever so softer and it has really just been something to see.
If you like to watch beautiful people doing amazing things, and who wouldn't, this show is definitely the place to be and Ms. Smirnoff has somehow gotten even more beautiful.

I could make a case for being pleased with any of the three winning.
I too am pleased JR & Karina won. They danced very well almost every week.
I'd have been happy for Rob & Cheryl, since she's my favorite pro.

J.R. totally deserved that win. I was pulling for Rob to win, but I am more than happy for J.R. to win. And Karina deserved to finally win the Mirror Ball after 13 seasons. Overall, this was a great first season for me to watch, and I'm looking forward to future seasons (hopefully without Maks).

And I will admit to cheering at Ricki finishing in third place. I like her, but this is the first time a non-athlete and someone without previous dance experience won. Also, Derek has won enough times. It was Karina's turn. :P
