Yeah i was very sad to read that the 3 people on the show who make it watchable will no longer be there and as much as i would love to hear them dish on the how and why of it, i knew they wouldn't. In more disturbing news, i read this morning that in cycle 19 they are going to have the viewers voting on who goes home and quite honestly it sounds like crap to me because if i wanted to watch American Idol i would(or any one of those call in to vote shows), i think fans like me who loved the original format of the show are going to be turned off and are going to turn the channel. I am going to wait and see and at least give it a chance but i really miss the way it was in the early cycles when the girls lived a more true experience of what its like to be a model starting out and they didnt have the posh digs (remember cycle 1 when they went to france and stayed in a tiny hotel room) and when Tyra would come in and talk to them one on one like a person, you know before she got all crazy, and it was just a more real experience.   See 12 other replies

Yep... in case it wasn't clear enough last cycle that the show has completely jumped the shark the three people who make it watchable have been sacked.... but what do I know? After all, I'm masochistic enough to be watching this season   See 12 other replies

My face twisted too, I was just thinking "really, Tyra? You forgot she was a lesbian...why would you say that?" It really bothered me that she said that, she really couldn't girls or women, or even just people?! She had to say men? I really felt that was insensitive of Tyra.   See 13 other replies

Auset, I know what moment you're talking about. I think my face twisted before they showed Azmarie's. It was insensitive.. but, that's the world we live in. They didn't, however, have to include Az's reaction in the aired episode. My generalization is.. the mixture of being lesbian, minority, tattood, and androgynous was a bit too much. A few of those elements might be tolerable.. but all combined does not a Cover Girl make :) I would have loved to see what she did after she won! I was excited to see her pictures every week. Azmarie is one of the few names that I've learned from this season. She is, also, one of the few Top Model contestants from any season that I've Googled. She appears to have the skill and energy to use the platform she has gained (so far) to build her career. Maybe she'll end up behind the scenes more considering how well she did as a leader on the Punk challenge.   See 13 other replies

Wow, YoYo Ma, I never thought of it that way. That would explain the ridiculousness of her elimination. It would seem indeed that Tyra was trying to piss her off in particular during that booty tooch teach. Remember when Az won the best photo and when she walked back to her place in panel, Tyra said something about 'guys' wanting to be all over her as a result of that beautiful photo, knowing that Az is Androgynous..I saw her face twist up just slightly at Tyra's insensitivity to Az's position of not wanting to be objectified by men. It would seem there was a conspiring of sorts to get her off the show, and yes, I can see the big money sponsors not wanting her to represent them especially since Az had such a good chance at winning. I pray her career takes off anyway, she didn't deserve to be toyed with and rejected. Smh   See 13 other replies
