I think it depends on how much the person makes. If they are making a few bucks performing at local places no they are not made. However if they have degrees and years of formal training and have performed at respected places like Barbara, then hell no they shouldn't be in AGT. If padilla was any good she would be performing all over anyways. Obviously she is a dime o dozen opera singer with a overrated sob story.   See 4 other replies

Ok my husband and I are considering entering next year but you say that anyone who does "this as a living" shouldn't be able to enter. Well we both play music on the weekends barely bringing home enough money for gas and dinner, still waiting for our big break and we should be disqualified?! This is still my dream to be discovered even if we have been doing this for 10 years or more. While I do like to consider myself a professional in what I do that doesn't in any way mean I've been discovered or have an opportunity like a Las Vegas show.
As for, if they have been doing this long enough and haven't "made it" say there is something wrong with them? Or perhaps like myself they live in a state where there's isn't any way to "make it". We don't get discovered here.
I agree someone who has "Made it" shouldn't have an opportunity but those of us doing this "professionally" still waiting to be discovered not because there is something wrong with us, still want to live out our dreams. It think everyone should have a chance.   See 4 other replies

The judges picked these people to be in the show and 2 out of 3 of the judges are BRITISH so I don't know what the hell you're going on about.   See 9 other replies

I agree, they should only allow amateurs. Barbara has her Master's in Music so she has also had some professional training along the way as well. They had another contestant that has worked in entertainment for over 20 years, he was the one that impersonated President Obama, I look at it if he didn't get the big break by now, there has to be a reason for it. Well he was eliminated the first night in Hollywood. They also had some acts that do this as a living and they should not be allowed to audition either, because to me, when you do this as a living you are then a professional in my estimation..   See 4 other replies

Did you bother to watch the auditions, there were many different acts, but it is up to the judges who go through and who doesn't. I feel that there were many ggod acts that should have been in the finals and even some that were in the finals should not have been there, but the original choice was up to two britians and one american.   See 9 other replies
