Once upon a time, Eli was a God-fearing and devout man. Then, like some modern version of Job, he lost everything that mattered to him. Turning his back on God, Eli tells his employees that they’re moving huge amounts of drugs for the sake of their community. But in his heart, Eli wants to control and corrupt every Mennonite community that falls under his expanding shadow. In Noah, he will find his ultimate challenge, a man who, in spite of being trapped in Eli’s amoral web, still refuses to relinquish his faith. God may have claimed Noah as pastor but Eli is determined to take his revenge on God by dragging Noah to the dark side and making him his own.
