Grover Jones

World-class martial artist, Guinness World Record holder, actor, and musician Leo Howard currently stars as Jack, a natural-born leader who teaches a group of neighborhood goofballs about life, karate, and how to just plain kick it in the hit Disney XD comedy series Kickin’ It. In season 4 of the series, Howard made his directorial debut, which resulted in him being inducted in to the Directors Guild Association and also garnered him a Guinness World Record for being the youngest person to direct an episode of a television series.

Previously, Howard guest-starred on Disney Channel’s hit series Shake It Up; hosted Disney Channel’s Leo Little’s Big Show, a short-form series highlighting upcoming Disney movies, series, and stars; and played a recurring role on Disney XD’s Zeke and Luther.

A devoted Bruce Lee fan, Howard began studying martial arts at the age of five, and two years later picked up extreme martial arts, adding gymnastics to his routine. He excelled quickly, and by age eight had already won three world championships. His specialty is Shorin-ryu, in which he holds a black belt.

Howard trained under martial arts world champion Matt Mullins and since age nine has performed with Sideswipe Performance Team, a traveling martial arts–based group that entertains audiences across the country with a combination of martial arts, dance, and gravity-defying acrobatics.

Howard’s martial arts skills helped launch his acting career, landing him a guest appearance on Monk and the role of Young Snake Eyes in the feature films G.I. Joe: Retaliation and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, where he performed all of his own stunts. His other film credits include a starring role in the family movie Shorts, the lead role in the independent film Logan, and role of young Conan in Conan the Barbarian.

A native Californian, Howard was born July 13, 1997, in Newport Beach and raised in northern San Diego County.

Quick-thinking and kind, Grover is a teenage everyman with a major crush on Violet Adams, who has no interest. As things spiral out of control, Grover learns he has resourcefulness he never dreamed.
