This is one of those shows that if done today, all the CGI and effects would take over for things like the miniatures and models that make this show such a pleasure to watch.

Are some of the monsters cheesier than others? yeah, but back then, they were state of the art.
Do they re use clips from other shows and movies here and there, Yes but it NEVER takes away from the story.

That is the point. Good adventure stories on the Boob Tube.
You can watch this TODAY and enjoy it like it's brand new.

Despite Voyage's reputation for high production values, Allen had to cut costs somewhere. One way was by using stock footage: the shot where the Flying Sub descends from Seaview is one example. Here's another: has anyone noticed that whenever someone leaves the Seaview airlock, it's always the exact same shot of a guy in a scuba suit, pulling himself hand over hand across the top of the sub. I suspect this footage originally came from the movie - though I haven't watched it lately to confirm it!

Tricks like this left more money for things like the gorgeous model of the drilling station in "The Mechanical Man" - that opening shot of the Seaview with the camera pulling away to reveal that it's sitting above the station is still fantastic! See 4 other replies

Eh, it was the 60's. They had to hold on to the model without letting the camera see, and the surface reflection is a good way to hide the rigging. That being said the show always had beautifully detailed miniature work, those guys were good. See 4 other replies

The seaview is not a war ship but a research ship, However it can be used in war time if had to be.

The seaview's lenght in real life would be 620 foot long, that is over 200 yards long, and hads 3 decks two story conning tower.

Some fans said it's, 400 foot long, and others 350 foot long, and some will say it's 547.78 feet long, I saw this on a website that seaview is 620 feet long, which is two football fields layed end to end.

It's a one of the Voyage To the Bottom Of The Sea --- Websites, Just look at all of then and you will find it, You will are see what I'm talking about the lenght of Seaview Submarine, being 620 foot long,-- If it were real.

A TRUE FAN OF VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA, JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER FANS,-- ON HULU WEBSITE, THAT LOVE THE SHOW AS MUCH AS ME!!!!!!!
