Wonderful, offbeat kind of movie looking at the life of supernerd Napoleon Dynamite, his brother Kip, Uncle Rico and friends Pedro and Deb.

Something I find strange is a few of the people who have reviewed it here appear to be puzzled, embarrassed by the fact that they enjoyed it! It's a comedy for goodness sake, just sit back, enjoy and stop analysing so much.

I agree with colbybear. The first time I watched this, I couldn't get into it. Where's the plot? What's with his hair? And why in the world is Hilary Duff's sister in it?! WHO would cast her?? Questions, questions, questions.

But I watched it again with friends and ignored the questions. It's a slice of life piece. There's a vague semblance of a plot but it's more of a snapshot in this kid's life. I enjoyed the movie and I enjoyed the strange turns of phrases. I appreciated the relationships between the characters (and I know that sounds silly, given that this isn't a deep psychological movie!). I don't know, I just found it more interesting that way.

Plus, while I have no plans to ever visit Idaho, some of it looked pretty in a flatlands-kinda way.

BEFORE YOU SAY MY REVIEW ISN'T HELPFUL TELL ME just ONE funny part in this movie! I had to force out a laugh and I regretted it. I've seen better sundance movies.

I realize that everyone has different opinions but what kind of humor is in this movie I'm sorry but I still can't figure it out?
