One of the best futuristic shows of it’s’ time. Expectations for what the future of space travel would be like in 1997, and current understanding of space science in the early ‘60’s, made this show both humorous and intriguing.

I remember, as a kid, watching each episode and wondering if space would really be like this. I still wonder.

Very good episode this the clumsy duplicates strangely human. Great finish with the fake Dr. Smith saving the real Smith in a great-although improbable display of self-sacrifice, Well-written episode.

Great seeing some of the episodes again. I have not seen them since I was kid!

Penny Robinson was a girl of many pets -- more, at least, than one might expect of someone marooned on an alien world many light-years from Earth. We know she had a Bloop. We may also recall that she had, at one point, a dog (though what became of it remains a mystery). But do we remember Penny's cat -- or even its name?

Regarding Pine as West: What, we're going to allow REALITY to intrude on the brilliance of my suggestion? :-) Yes, I realize he'll have other things on his plate; no matter. Who, then? Perhaps the equally unlikely Justin Hartley?

Your remark about Mark Goddard appreciating the original J2 design sounds quite interesting. It's a shame there's no transcript of that discussion -- or is there?

Re Tim Curry's rotundity: So why not a rather well-fed Dr. Smith? After all, it's his "extra weight load" that causes them to be Lost in Space in the first place. With Curry, it'd be more believable.
