When Bud (Charlie Sheen) stumbles upon the financial opportunity of a lifetime, a money train carrying millions of unmarked bills for destruction, the only thing standing in his way is the Swede (Marlon Brando), the feared prison warden.

To the other reviewers here...hey, this is comedy! Do you think because Brando's in the film that means it's meant to be serious drama? Can't you allow Brando to do comedy? Lighten up, people! This movie is a kick! Just a few minutes into it, I was laughing out loud! It's dumb and dumber trying to pull off a train robbery! It's not Macbeth. Grow a sense of humor before watching!
Brando plays "The Swede" a corrupt warden who imposes his own style of morality on everyone. (Don't take him so seriously!) Mira Sorvino plays an angel who confronts him, to try and bring much-needed justice to the swedish town in the north country. Yah! Eh?
Brando has always amazed me. While being one of the greatest actors ever to grace our planet, there have been several times when he engaged his enormous talent to pure garbage. Unfortunately, this movie was one of those rare times.
My son and I really enjoyed this film. Many times we knew what was going to happen next and that was very OKay. I do agree with the other reviewer about it working in a 1930's setting. The cast was great, and there were many laughs. Not for kids. More Donald Sutherland, please!
It's a pretty good movie, but considering the corrupt warden angle, I think it should have had an 1930's setting rather than such a modern setting. It could have been another COOL HAND LUKE.
