Negi and Ayaka throw a birthday party for Asuna, but it may not be enough to lift her spirits. Asuna knows the inescapable truth: today is her very last day.

Asuna's death hangs heavy over Class 2-A. The staff looks on in concern as Negi struggles and Konoka blames herself for not being there during Asuna's final moments.

Thanks to Lingshen and Satomi's time machine, Negi inadvertently drags the class nine years into the past. What they find there comes as a complete shock.
