Gavin Purcell most recently was the Head of Video at Vox Media, where he oversaw video production, development and strategy for all Vox Media brands which include Vox.com, The Verge, Eater, SB Nation, Polygon, Curbed, Racked, and Recode.
Prior to Vox, Gavin was Producer of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he led all aspects of on-air production in addition to a special focus on interactive elements. Gavin was recognized for The Tonight Show’s innovative digital efforts with a 2015 Emmy® Award for Social TV Experience and a 2014 Emmy® Award for Outstanding Interactive Program. Previously, Gavin was a Supervising Producer and Writer for The Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Digital Experience. Gavin received an Emmy® Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media in 2009 and in 2010 for The Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Digital Experience, and in total has received eight additional Emmy® nominations.
