Susan Misner

Dr. Nora White

Susan Misner is one of television’s most sought-after leading ladies. She just finished shooting Hulu’s Shut Eye, where she plays Dr. Nora White opposite Jeffrey Donovan. Before that, she concluded a three-year run on the FX hit series The Americans, in which she played the beautiful but betrayed wife to Noah Emmerich’s FBI Agent Beeman, who ironically seeks out those who betray the United States. Misner has appeared as a recurring character on some of television’s most popular series, among them Nashville, The Following, Person of Interest, The Good Wife, Gossip Girl, In Treatment, Without a Trace, and Rescue Me. Additionally, she has made multiple appearances in all three shows that make up the Law & Order franchise.  She has appeared on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: Miami, Blue Bloods, Sex and the City, Life On Mars, NCIS, White Collar, Royal Pains, and Fringe. She also portrayed Gretchen Martin opposite John Turturro in the miniseries The Bronx Is Burning.

Her film credits include Chicago (SAG Award), Hope Springs, The Forgotten, The Hoax, Walking On the Sky (Best Supporting Actress Award, New York International Independent Film Festival), Tanner Hall, Something’s Gotta Give, Gigantic, Two Weeks, Somebody’s Hero, and Everybody Says I Love You.

An accomplished dancer, Misner co-conceived and starred in the American Repertory Theater production of a performance piece, The Shape She Makes, in the spring of 2014. Plans are underway to transfer the show to New York.

Misner has appeared in several Broadway musicals, including Guys and Dolls, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Dream.

She is a diehard New York Mets fan.

Dr. Nora White is the neurologist Charlie is referred to after his head injury. Unconventional, curious, and brazen, Nora believes in Charlie’s visions, as they bring hope to a world she’s nearly lost faith in.
