REY LUCAS was born and raised in New York City to immigrant parents from France and the Dominican Republic. After graduating Wesleyan University having studied English and Government, he started a career in Real Estate with plans to someday attend law school. He never lost the acting bug, however, from having appeared in a couple of plays in college and one day, on a whim, he responded to a casting notice for the Williamstown Theatre Festival’s summer non-equity company. That whim completely changed his life. After two seasons at Williamstown, Rey went on to get his MFA in Acting from the Yale School of Drama. Since then, he has appeared in The Rainmaker (Broadway), as well as numerous New York and Regional performances including the Old Globe’s production of the 2012 Pulitzer Prize winner for Drama Water by the Spoonful, which earned him a Critics Pick by the LA Times. On television, he has had recurring roles onBelieve, Blue Bloods and Luke Cage, as well as guest spots on Orange is the New Black, The Blacklist, Elementary and Instinct.
