Louis’s film and television work encompasses a wide variety of roles, and has given him the opportunity to work with some of the leading talents in the industry. He has had recurring parts on shows such as BILLIONS, BLUE BLOODS, and BOARDWALK EMPIRE (for which he received a SAG Award nomination), and has guest starred on THE BLACKLIST, CHICAGO PD, INSIDE AMY SCHUMER, and many others. He features alongside Mike Birbiglia and Callum Turner in Adam Leon’s romantic comedy, TRAMPS, out earlier this year from Netflix, and will appear with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in Martin Scorsese’s forthcoming THE IRISHMAN, due to release in 2018. Other movie credits include THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, FUNNY BUNNY, GABI ON THE ROOF IN JULY, and Doug Liman’s virtual reality series, INVISIBLE.
A well-known figure on New York’s off-Broadway theater scene, Louis was seen most recently in the world premiere of EVERYBODY by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, and as Achilles in the Public Theater’s production of Shakespeare’s TROILUS AND CRESSIDA, for which he also received the St. Clair Bayfield Award. Previous credits include THE TEMPEST, the world premiere of Suzan-Lori Parks’ FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (both for the Public), the highly-acclaimed U.S. premiere of Sarah Kane’s BLASTED (Soho Rep), and the world premiere of Adam Rapp’s HALLWAY TRILOGY.
Louis studied theater and French at Yale University, where he earned his BA. He currently resides in Brooklyn, NY, with his family.
