Julie Klausner

Julie Klausner is the creator, writer, and star of Difficult People, produced by Amy Poehler and also starring Billy Eichner. Her podcast, How Was Your Week, was called “one of the few essential podcasts” by The New York Times and was named one of the ten best comedy podcasts of the moment by Rolling Stone and GQ’s Comedy Issue. Klausner’s first book, I Don’t Care About Your Band, was published in 2010 by Gotham Books. In July 2010, Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s production company, Gary Sanchez Productions, optioned I Don’t Care About Your Band for a television series. Klausner’s TV staff writing credits include Billy on the Street, for which she is also the co-executive producer; Mulaney; The Jack and Triumph Show; Best Week Ever with Paul F. Tompkins; and The Big Gay Sketch Show. She’s also written for Robert Smigel’s TV Funhouse on SNL, and for the late, great Joan Rivers. Julie lives in New York City and is an NYU alumna.
