James Urbaniak

James Urbaniak plays Arthur on Hulu’s “Difficult People,” Grant on Comedy Central’s “Review” and is the voice of Dr. Venture on Adult Swim’s “The Venture Bros.” Other TV credits include “The Office,” “Homeland,” “Sex and the City,” “Supergirl,” “Dice,” “Dr. Ken,” “Adventure Time” and many red herrings and psychopaths on some of America’s most popular crime procedurals. Films include “‪American Splendor” (as Robert Crumb), “You Don’t Know Jack” with Al Pacino, “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,” “Advantageous,” Across the Universe,” “Sound of My Voice,” “‪The Boxtrolls” and the Hal Hartley’ trilogy “‪Henry Fool,” “‪Fay Grim” and “‪Ned Rifle.” Upcoming films include Bill Watterson’s “Dave Made a Maze,” Danny Strong’s J.D. Salinger biopic “Rebel in the Rye” and Todd Haynes’ “Wonderstruck.”  Theatre credits include originating the title role in Will Eno’s Pulitzer-nominated solo play “Thom Pain (based on nothing),” (Drama Desk nomination and The Stage’s Best Actor award at the Edinburgh Fringe); and Richard Foreman’s “The Universe” (Obie Award for performance). James is the creator of the scripted podcasts “Getting On with James Urbaniak” on Feral Audio and “A Night Called Tomorrow” on ‪Howl.fm.
