Hulu’s Finance team is seeking a talented Financial Analyst who will be an exceptional addition to our Subscriber Growth and Experience FPandA team. As a Financial Analyst at Hulu, you will work on uncovering key subscriber insights and in turn develop rigorous subscriber forecasts throughout the year. The position will also work closely with other FPandA teams to translate subscriber outputs into key financial goals and targets.   • Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and enhance financial models used to plan Hulu’s key subscriber metrics
  • Support the financial evaluation of our external partnerships deals (i.e. Spotify, HBO, etc.)
  • Investigate the underlying subscriber growth drivers to improve forecast reliability and accuracy
  • Develop and present business cases and recommendations to managementAs a key support of the subscriber forecasting process, the right candidate will:
  • Set clear forecasting objectives by describing decisions that might be affected by the forecasts and obtaining decision makers agreement on methods
  • Implement quantitative methods so that financial models are tailored to the time horizon, matched to the underlying phenomena, and weighted more heavily to the most relevant data
  • Assess uncertainty using scenarios and describe reasons why forecasts might be wrong, as well as listing possible outcomes and assessing their likelihoods
  • Present forecasts and supporting data in a simple and understandable form by providing complete, simple and clear explanations of methods, describing assumptions, and presenting forecasts as scenarios


  • BA/BS degree in Finance or similar discipline with an analytical bias
  • 2+ years of relevant financial analysis experience
  • Proven proficiency with Excel
  • Demonstrated experience with concepts of forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation and analysis
  • Highly analytical, detail oriented; proven ability to develop new ideas and deliver innovative solutions
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic and often ambiguous environment; effective multi-tasking skills are vital
  • Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills working with peers and various levels of management


  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
  • Experience working with monte-carlo simulation tools i.e. Crystal Ball and @Risk
  • Industry experience in technology and/or media is a plus
