SUMMARY

Hulu’s Experience team is seeking a Product Manager who will be an exceptional addition to our Digital Supply Chain team. As a Product Manager at Hulu, you will define the strategy and own the roadmap for our internal content processing tools and services, partnering with development and program management to deliver best-in-class solutions for some of the most complex problems Hulu faces. You’ll tackle things like the automation of our content processing capabilities, the design and build of internal content management tools, and standardizing content specs and formats to streamline our ingestion pipeline, all while laying the groundwork for future service expansions of our live and VOD catalog. The right person for this role has built or improved upon a content pipeline in a high-throughput environment, successfully navigated the challenge of ever-changing content deliverables, and treats internal stakeholders with the same level of importance that is typically reserved for the end user. If you are someone who is highly detailed, curious, tends to think about long-term ramifications, and is a great collaborator, then this is a great role for you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own the product roadmap for Hulu’s content management solutions, collaborating with content, operations, and other product teams to ensure evolving business needs are continuously met
  • Define the strategy and write detailed specifications for automation services, eliminating human interaction with content whenever possible
  • Work with technical program managers and engineers to design scalable solutions using a mix of homegrown and third-party applications
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to drive consensus and identify cross-team dependencies
  • Create substantive increases in throughput by enabling operational efficiencies through tool and workflow modifications

WHAT TO BRING

  • 2-4 years’ experience in product management or 5+ years managing content operations at an established technology company
  • Deep understanding of content management implementations, specifically pertaining to a digital video distribution platform
  • Experience building backend functionality in support of consumer facing products
  • A proven ability to flatten processes and simplify workflows, ideally related to video or other related media
  • A history of establishing and maintaining successful cross-team relationships
  • Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies
  • A willingness to dive deep into the details

NICE-TO-HAVES

  • Encoding or transcoding workflow management experience
  • Experience with international content distribution
  • Technical background – CS, CE, EE
  • LEAN or Six Sigma certification
