  • If I have an existing HBO add-on through Hulu, do I have to re-signup for the HBO Max add-on?

    Existing Hulu subscribers who have or sign-up for the HBO on Hulu add-on before 5/27/2020 will automatically get the new HBO Max add-on on 5/27/2020 at no additional charge.

    Limitations apply to existing Hulu subscribers whose subscription is provided or billed by Amazon.

  • Can I watch HBO Max and Hulu content in the same app?

    Nothing is changing about your Hulu experience. You will still have access to all current and past seasons of HBO originals, as well as recent movie releases, directly through Hulu. But now, you’ll have even more content available to watch directly through the HBO Max app. This includes full seasons of Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who, and more, along with Warner Bros. movies like Wonder Woman, and The Matrix. This additional content is accessible only through the HBO Max app.

  • Which Hulu plan do I need to add HBO Max to my subscription?

    To enjoy the best of both worlds, you will need any Hulu base subscription to sign-up for the HBO Max add-on. The Hulu or Hulu (No Ads) plan will give you access to the entire Hulu streaming library with full seasons of exclusive series, hit movies, Hulu Originals, kids shows, and more. The Hulu + Live TV plan lets you watch Live and On Demand TV from 65+ top channels including sports and news, plus includes access to the Hulu (ad-supported) plan.

  • Are there any other HBO add-on options available through Hulu?

  • Once I add HBO Max to my Hulu account, how do I activate my HBO Max app account?

  • Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

    Yes, you can cancel your subscription to the HBO Max add-on at anytime online or by calling us. You will continue to have access to both services until the end of your billing cycle.

  • What devices can I use to watch HBO Max through Hulu?

    You can access HBO network content on Hulu at home or on the go on these supported devices: Apple iPhone & iPad (running iOS 10 or newer), Android phones & tablets (running 5.0 or newer), Roku, Fire TV & Fire Stick, Apple TV (4th generation), Chromecast, Xbox One & Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 & PlayStation 4, Samsung (select TV models), Hulu.com using a Mac or PC browser, More devices coming soon.   • Can I watch the HBO network live?

    Yes! HBO live streams are available on supported devices for Hulu subscribers with the HBO Max add-on.

  • Can I record HBO shows and movies?

    Recording live TV to your Cloud DVR is not currently available for premium networks like HBO. You can watch most programs on demand when they air live.

  • Are there limits on the number of screens I can watch HBO on at the same time?

    Yes. While your Hulu base plan allows you to watch on 2 simultaneous streams at a time, you can upgrade to our Hulu + Live TV plan with the Unlimited Screens add-on to watch HBO on up to 5 screens simultaneously (3 of which may be out-of-home mobile devices).
