Description

Yacha, meaning demon, is a historical drama set during the Joseon Dynasty. The monarchy is overrun with uncertainty, and the nation is left in the hands of precarious power-holders. Yacha's story centers around two brothers who find themselves amidst this political warfare. Baek Rok (Jo Dong Hyuk) is the intensely loyal, protective older brother who becomes the leader of the Black Swords, a secret political sect sworn to serve the king. Baek Gyeol (Seo Do Young of Spring Waltz) is the ambitious younger brother who takes the opposite side of the power struggle in order move out of his older brother's shadow. Their love for the same woman, Jung Yeon (Jun Hye Bin) puts their brotherly bond to the test.

I read the HULU description but I didn't see the extreme violence and sex warning for this drama. I almost started throwing up. Definitely not for me.

So much blood, much more than any other one I've seen (and this is only first 10 minutes). And I wasn't expecting nudity in a kdrama. Geez!

The "other" brother who is the Black Sword is breath-takingly beautiful! Especially when he has his shirt off whilst sword-swingin' in Japan! Yes, the film was good, but I can't say that I loved thisone as much as I have loads of others. BUT, it's worth the 'looky-loo' just to see that totally HOTTTTTTTT cat gettin' busy w/his Katana!!!!! I mean, just note, that if I had met and known this fella in my 20's, oooooooweeeeeeee, would I 'ave had a couple of charges against me (and you'll see why!!!!! LOL!).

This drama is sure to have you gasp from shock. If you can handle incredibly vivid gore than you can continue. I say disturbingly good because the writer did a good job of delving into the ugly side of politics and human nature. I was mostly fascinated that this story of politics, love, lies, murder, trust, vengeance, betrayal was all compiled into 12 thrilling episodes. This is by no means your uplifting drama, but it portrays the ugly truth of human nature we often close our eyes to.
