The first few episodes aren't great; they're a bit like a child struggling to progress from the crawling to walking stage. There are some good lines and funny bits. Camera and lighting are pretty good for a web series and while the special effects aren't ground-breaking, they are there.
The storyline direction is a little confusing at first. It wasn't sure that there WAS a plot until about five or six episodes in. But if you give it a few episodes, you might actually find the show enjoyable; I certainly did. The actors are a little over the top, but Jon Heder (while he could stand to take a learning annex) is not as horrific at acting as everyone is making him out to be. In fact, he reminds me a bit of a couple of my friends in high school. The character actually seems pretty realistic to me. The other characters are fun, especially his insane co-worker.
I would like to see this series come back, hopefully with slightly longer episodes (maybe 15 6-7 minute episodes instead of 22 3-4 minute episodes?) and maybe a slight brush-up on the writing and acting. Also, I think it might be profitable for Hulu to find a better way of doing commercials for webisodes. The commercials during the regular 30 minute shows don't bug me, but watching a 30-60 second commercial for every 3-5 minutes of TV gets real annoying. So either length/splice the episodes together or somehow combine the commercial breaks. If possible. If not -oh well. It is free.
