Wire In The Blood

I picked this up from a Hulu "suggestion" and am very happy I did... If you like Criminal Minds and Dexter, you will love this show.

this show is above and beyond any crime/suspense series i have ever seen! i admit that i never thought british tv could be so thrilling... so much better than what we have been spoon fed on american networks. I must live in a cave to have never heard of this show before or am i missing something? seems suspicious that that shows like CSI or Law and Order morph into 144 spin-offs of garbage and yet not one of bruckheimer's or wolf's shows could touch this series originality and pacing. then again, it is rather obvious isn't. the big three simply can't compete with the demographics of this show's audience in intelligence and expectations. shows on american networks (reality tv in particular) are why i cancelled my satellite service... that and the fees they were raping me with! ironic that NBC is involved with Hulu and yet cannot bring a show to the table like Wire in the Blood. i'll trade CSI, Law and Order, SNL, American Idol, BIg Brother, all of ABC, Adam Levine, Cristina whatever, CNN, Fox news, MSNBC, J Lo, Steven Tyler, So You Think You Got a Brain, Joy Behar, The View, Piers Morgan (google his tabloid history...nice move to the cellar CNN, remember disgraced gov. Spitzer? Classic! giving him his own show... and it flopped you say?!?!) and pretty much every other channel for just this one show! fish and chips anyone?

Tight wads at the network were the death of this series. Costing 750,000 pounds an episode is why the multiple character changes. The longer they stay the more money they would want, so 'adios'. By the way, the title "Wire in the Blood", comes from a line in a poem by T.S. Eliot. "Burnt Norton", I think. I enjoyed the cast from the first three seasons more than the others.
