Not all sociopaths are psychopathic. Tony's delemma is how to explore the psychopathic as personally as he does without becoming psycopathic. Not all psychopaths are sociopathic. The more 'organized' ones tend to be.Sociopaths often achieve significant business, academic, political and even ecclesiastical success. Some who are also psychopathic have had success at times when society has gone psychotic such as during the Inquisition or the Third Reich. 'Simple' psycopaths are rarely successful at anything. Were I a psych type, I'd classify Tony as dissociative with Aspergers and a high IQ. He has no ability to read social interactions or recognize jokes or the sarcasm of others, has his own rituals and verbal tics (talks to himself a lot, repeating verbal riffs with some almost jazz like conversions to counterpoint and synchopation) doesn't adjust to changes in environment except by completely ignoring the environment and assumes everyone can follow his thought processes - the last being completely the opposite of sociopaths, who tend to believe their thought processes are superior to others.
