I rented this from Blockbuster a while back and I found it quite informative. John Cleese is intelligent and charming and talks about wine in language people can actually understand. You won't become a sommelier by watching this video but you will have a good basic understand the differences between the varietals and also learn about the process of making wine. At the time I was watching this, I was working in a fine dining establishment and one of my co-workers was studying to become a sommelier and I actually had a clue what he meant when he started babbling about things like legs, and hits of grass and asparagus, tannins, etc.
