Wildfire

I have worked with horses my whole life. Competing in all levels and styles. I think the writers were making the show "understandable to the general public". so it lacked some realiztic tones, but i loved every minute of it. and if you are going to get upset over a T.V. show... hmm...

I had a hard time really getting into the romance between Junior and Danny because he wasn't very manly and it appeared to me that in real life, he is a homosexual. I just couldn't get past thinking that every time they interacted with each other which made their romance seem unbelievable. Danny and Junior's romance just didn't seem realistic to me at all.

I grew up on a big horsefarm in Germany. Grew up training and working with horses.

I wonder if those writers truly know how life on a horsefarm truly is. Seriously, learning how to "professionally" rope in just a week and then compete in a contest? Learning of how to ride a bull without killing yourself in how long? Seriously?

Learning how to be a jokey in under a year? Plus knowing the entire szene and winning the breeders with a million dollar prize?

Seriously? You got to be kidding me.

Plus, I don't get how they struggle to find clients. They've had enough advertisment. They've got Kris, Wildfire and Pablo. How in the world are they fighting to find clients?

My sisters are both professionals. They are running in their doors. We've got a full stable of horses and there is tough competition out there. And a farm that won the breeders can't find any clients at all plus?
The fight over one frickin client with Dani is ridiculous. If I was the client I would have told them both to ""§%RQ OFF and gotten a restraining order plus looked for another farm to board my horses.

It started out as a good show but it gets more and more unrealistic.

Well, Dennis Weaver was sick during the filming of Wildfire and died during the filming of the 2nd season.

Also, this was Genevieve Cortese's first on-camera role after having been in many plays.

I do agree about Micah Alberti and Pablo. There are definitely parts in this show that came off as lame.

Well, you also have to remember that this is her first acting gig in front of a television camera.

I thought this was a great show that slipped to less than great. It was addictive though. There was something about the character, the girl who's past troubles gave her something to strive to "get away from". Surprised she told everybody about her past showing how brave she was. A beautiful actress, fairly talented taking on the difficult role of showing the bravery and vulnerability. Showing great love for the great race horse "Wildfire". Also showing love for the family she was taken in / adopted by.
Some great ironies came out of this show. In one show her brothers steals a car to race it for money and the returned the car and gave her the money, which she wouldn't take because she thought is was wrong to steal car, I guess. Then she steals 'Wildfire" to race him for $2M in an illegal race. But when she gave the money to her adopted mother, she didn't understand how wrong it was to compete this way. It really showed how mixed up she was, and impulsive she could be, sometimes without thinking things all the way through. It makes one wonder how she could ever be with the right guy in the end.
I think Craig C. was right, show could have been much more, but was totally focused on this character. Although she was great character, Genevieve Cortese did pretty good, other characters could have been developed. And the ranch itself, where this was set, what a character in itself.
