I agree with Barb... How exactly is quick witty comedy dumbing down America?

I'm terribly sorry that quality television is causing you to think. While the Office is less subtle with their humor I think this show is a great cross between the office style interviews / and Arrested Development banter between characters(which creates comedic situations).

So dear Chris, please go back to watching Benny Hill and your pie in the face jokes. This show just got rights to air a full season, so in short your opinion -- is incorrect.

Thanks for playing the flame game, now go back to your Grey's Anatomy.

So, you refer to this show as part of the dumbing down of America, when its clear that you don't understand the show. Obviously the show is a take-off on Reality-TV show families. They talk to the camera as a "confessional."

The show is smart and funny. Maybe it's you that's not.

Once again America is making a hit of a comedy that is not really very funny (i.e.The Office). There is no one to like here. They are all annoying in their own special way. I've always hated the looking into the camera bit. Are they supposed to be talking to us or a film crew? Lame

It's a joke that's been around for a while, and in it, bubbles is supposed to be a person, and blowing also has a meaning in sexual slang. So when someone says they're blowing bubbles, the response is "How nice for Bubbles." See 6 other replies
